If player made mounts etc. are going to have resource requirements like this, I can only see prices rising even more but since people are getting boat loads of these resources from chaos boxes, I think the economy is staying pretty stable. Costumes and mounts are still the same price they've always been (AFAIK) so if the chaos boxes are making such a huge negative impact on the economy, why can I still not afford anything?:(
This is pretty much it right here. The number of people who get a lot of chaos chests are very very (very) small and they're fun to watch open stuff but it's really not enough to make any global economic impact. If you want to make an argument 'against' the amount of resources in the chests it would be on an individual level. In theory if that 'removes' the game from a person by opening too many chests we should take a look at it, but I haven't had a reasonable argument made to that extent (and we're also expanding the game in some other areas that these will have less reach in, in the near future). There's a few other things we're looking at, like what we 'bring back' in the chests and what we don't, and I think that's a matter of getting the pulse of the community and we're interested in continued feedback on that. Last time we asked it was relatively even with some people excited about the return of all goods and some people who were more skeptical.
